I strongly believe that any video games should be carefully checked before you kid would play into it. One more variant is to install some good app on your child smartphone to monitor all installations. I personally prefer the second way out because I have already done it for my oldest son. He is 14 and simply crazy about all that modern games stuff. I installed the app called mspy to block those apps I don’t wish my son to use. And you know what? It works pretty well for my family. Still, you can choose any other alternatives to protect your kid from violence and mess from video games. Simply be a parent. Good luck!
It depends on the game type. I usually choose some light easy games for my children, with no evil and not aggressive ones. My favorite game website is toomky games. You can also check, probably you'll find some good game for you!

Yes, I think some video games are useful for children, but books are still more useful. I give my children to play only after they read books, at least 10-20 pages. So that they would not be tempted to turn on the game, the books they read are online, but they read them on IPad. I buy them at kisslibrary. I believe that everything should be a balance, and you should not give them just read or just play!
