Yes. If I want to ice hot-brewed coffee and still enjoy it, I have to use at least double the amount of grounds so the brew won't be gross and weak when the ice I add melts. They say that cold brew is smoother and less acidic, but I have yet to do any kind of side by side comparison, so that doesn't affect anything for me. Cold brew generally does seem to taste slightly better to me than regular iced (in an undefineable way), so yeah, I guess I do prefer cold brew. I don't like that it's often more expensive at cafes, though, so I major my own in a very low tech way.
